We spent a relaxing time here, would recomand to anyone. That was pretty hotel set in rural area, right by a restaurant and a substantial lake of water for several hours after showering. Superior family room was excellent with comfortable bed.

As a large family with two young children, we had a fantastic visit to Maison D'Hotes Le Lavoir. The owners were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, despite the language barrier. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and even cooked us a delicious traditional Vendee meal. The location, nestled in a quiet hamlet, provided a peaceful and relaxing overnight stay. The accommodation itself was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed, with a charming and quirky style that the kids loved. We would definitely return to this special place.

For dads, it would be great to have more activities for children.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming Maison d'Hotes. the room was beautifully decorated in a shabby chic style and had separate WC and an extra bedroom, perfect for families. the location was incredibly quiet and we loved spending time on the outside furniture in the peaceful surroundings. the breakfast served in the family dining area was excellent, with delicious homemade treats. the hosts, Rene and Marlene, made us feel like part of their family. Despite the language barrier, Marlene communicated with us using a tablet translation, and Rene's warmth and hospitality needed no words. We've stayed here multiple times and will definitely return whenever we are in the area. It truly feels like a home away from home with a French twist. Cons: 😊 Nothing, everything was great! .

The room I booked was outstanding, clean, and provided with a seating area overlooking the garden and a patio. The food was brilliant with lots of choice. The hotel's location was just off a substantial lake, making it a great spot for relaxation and leisure activities.
